Meet Punya Chitrakar
Punya has recently become a Baha’i. He met Baha’i friends in England but declared his faith in the Baha’i Centre of Nepal. It was through meeting Nepalese Baha’i’s and studying the writings in Nepali that he gained a greater understanding and realised he had always been a Baha’i in his heart.
There are many Baha’i’s in Nepal and Punya noticed that there were no Baha’i prayers in Nepali on You Tube. The links below are two of his beautiful chants, taken from the words of Baha’u’llah and sung in Nepali.
Baha’i’s believe in progressive revelation: meaning all the Manifestations of God, such as Abraham, Moses, Krishna, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, The Bab and Baha’u’llah, have given the same essential spiritual message, but the social teachings are relevant for the age they are revealed in. Baha’i’s believe there will be other educators of men in the future, the next one being in approximately 1000 years.
Baha’u’llah is the Manifestation of God for whom all the faiths have been waiting. His teachings are about the oneness of mankind and the oneness of God. Baha’u’llah has revealed how to bring unity to this world from a spiritual perspective and a physical plan of how man can achieve this. There is only the one religion of God which has altered over time to educate man throughout his development on earth. Man is coming into the age of maturity and now every individual is responsible for his own development and relationship with God. In the past priests were needed to read and interpret the word of God. Now with education for all becoming a reality, people can read the latest words of God revealed by Baha’u’llah and put them into practice in their own lives. The transformative power of these words is immeasurable.
We are all aware that there are so many problems in the world today, Baha’u’llah has revealed answers of how to solve all of the issues, if we look to spiritually based solutions that can be applied to this physical reality in practical ways.
